Community Call builds partnerships between local businesses, schools and community organizations to provide hands-on, academic enrichment training to at-risk or financially disadvantaged high school students in the Greater Boston area. Students enrolled in the program learn business skills and self-confidence while planning and producing events which benefit community based nonprofit organizations. Our ultimate objective is to help students develop life skills and work values in an engaging and real world based educational process.
We bring event management classes to the public school system to teach academic, business, and professional skills to raise students’ chances of pursing higher education and succeeding in college. Students gain broadly applicable skills including but not limited to the areas of project management, teamwork, leadership, marketing, negotiations, and finance.
