Kim founded an after school learning and mentoring program for high school aged youth currently and formerly in foster care, called REACH. She currently has two working interventions and one charter school design crafted specifically for at-risk youth.
Kim has been involved with foster care and at-risk youth education advocacy projects within nonprofit platforms for over six years before joining the movement for social change and educational reform. Some of her previous work in education was completed working for AmeriCorps, Jumpstart America, SquashBusters, Prospect Hill Academy Charter School, Gift for a Child, and Children's Defense Fund. Kim's impact is evident as she holds organizations accountable for delivering their mission to the fullest and by using best practices guided by proven research.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Irvine and a Master of Arts from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education with a concentration in Risk and Prevention.
