Wed, Jul 29, 2015 at 1pm EDT / 10am PDT Edit Date
The New Donor – Smart, Informed, Challenging
Audience: Directors of Development, MGO, Executive Directors, Planned Giving Officers, Data Base Managers
What’s different about donors today than your donors of the past? They’re smart, informed, and challenging. In this webinar, we will talk about how to identify these donors and deal with the challenges they present.
SMART Donors: What donors are we talking about? What’s changed in the environment – our culture? What do donors want from the nonprofit? Let’s talk about passion.
INFORMED Donors: How/from where do donors get information about the nonprofits to which they are considering contributing? How can you present your story to these sources and ultimately the new donor?
CHALLENGING Donors: Working with the challenging donors. Knowing who wants what, developing the donor plan for your new donors.
Join Margaret Guellich, CFRE and Linda Lysakowski, ACFRE as they discuss how to work with the new donor. Based on their soon to be published book, The New Donor.

The speakers should not continually say "years ago" as the context of their efforts--it makes the material sound outdated. They can just say "in the past" at best, or better, leave out the time context--it doesn't matter as long as it's still relevant.
