Mission Community Hospital is a not-for-profit, two-campus, acute care hospital, licensed for 60 medical/surgical beds and 60 acute psychiatric beds. We provide a full range of medical, surgical, psychiatric and emergency care services.
Mission is a safety-net hospital, providing quality health care to a largely uninsured and under-insured population. We also provide diabetes health education and outpatient services through a dental clinic from our San Fernando Community Campus for Health and Education.
To provide safe guidance to our patients and their families as they experience the healthcare process; To provide an encompassing service that is attentive to the total health needs of each individual.
Mission represents the union of two hospitals, each with a proud history: Panorama City Hospital founded in 1964, and San Fernando Community Hospital founded in 1923 as the first hospital in the San Fernando Valley. After the 1994 earthquake, the two hospitals merged and the reconstruction of the Panorama City campus was completed in 2003.
