Silent Auction Secrets: 5 simple changes to generate bigger bids Edit Title
Wed, Oct 14, 2015 at 1pm EDT / 10am PDT Edit Date
Auction planners: How do you get guests to bid more in your silent auction?
(I'm re-running this popular webinar to give you the scoop!)
When you’ve gone to the effort of soliciting donors, creating displays, and arranging volunteers for checkout, you may be demoralized at night's end to sell your fabulous items at a hefty discount.
Here’s the good news.
Even if you don’t change your items OR your audience, you can still raise more money.
You just need to use the same marketing and psychological tactics the big stores use to get consumers to buy!
In this webinar, we'll adapt 5 of their marketing strategies to our silent auctions so we get big returns.
In this fun and incredibly practical webinar, see examples of good (and bad) silent auctions in action so you'll get better bids.
• How to adopt a tested eBay strategy to get guests to pay more than they wanted
• Merchandising examples (good and bad!) so you know how to best display your items
• Changes that appeal to guests with more money to spend
• A trick that gets men interested in your items
• How to BEST use your A/V vendors in the silent auction
• A tip that eases volunteer stress in your cashiering area

Sherry was very engaging and provided some great, practical tips on how to improve the silent auction portion of our fundraising events. I can't wait to implement some of her suggestions and see the difference they make.

A little strange to attend the webinar less than a week after our silent auction which didn't make much money (though it was an add-on to an event that was quite successful) ...but perfect timing to add to our event evaluation and make changes for next year!

I found the seminar helpful. Our events are much smaller, though, than the ones she described.

We've been doing a silent auction for past 11 years. Our big event is just 3 weeks out. Looks like we're doing most things right. Had already decided to try guaranteed purchase this year an now really feel good about decision.

This was a very helpful webinar, with some practical, usable tips. We have been doing silent auctions for several years, and some of the info was stuff that we do already, but there were also some good ideas that were new to me. The best new idea I got was the idea of a guaranteed purchase.
