Valley Teen Ranch was established in 1987 as a private, non-profit residential group home and is licensed by the California Department of Social Services. The Ranch accommodates 32 at-risk boys ages 9-17, placed in our care by court order because they have been abused or judged to be delinquent. Valley Teen Ranch is nestled on 80 acres in the San Joaquin Valley of Central California. It is indeed a ranch with livestock, old shade trees and early morning chores where these boys in crisis learn traditional family values. In 1991 Valley Teen Ranch was licensed as a Foster Family Agency and now has 25 certified foster homes. Our foster families have nurtured more than 300 children and on average we have more than 40 children in our care at any given time. Out of these children the Foster Family Agency of Valley Teen Ranch arranges several adoptions per year into loving stable families. In 1995 Valley Teen Ranch expanded our children's outreach program when our Bonding Home opened in partnership with the Fresno County Department of Social Services. This home is designed to accommodate vists between medically fragile children (infant to 3 years) and their biological parents. The parents of these little ones must go through hours of classes and training, be drug free and have a job in order to reunite with their children.
